Manchester United ‘On The Verge Of Signing’ Lyon Midfielder

Manchester United are close to signing Lyon wonderkid Florent Da Silva.

According to French news outlet L’Equipe, the Red Devils are all set to make an “imminent” bid for the young starlet.

The 16-year-old is considered to be a top-class talent, having already played senior football in the French fourth tier for Lyon’s reserve team last season.

Further, the creative midfielder also featured in the UEFA Youth League, impressing against the youth teams of Ajax and Barcelona.

His performances have caught the attention of Manchester United, who are said to be in the “very advanced” stages of negotiations for his services.

Da Silva will be out of contract next summer, and the Old Trafford club is currently attempting to buy out the final year of the player’s deal.

The French U16s international is said to be looking for the “best project” for his future, and he has eyes for Manchester United‘s youth setup over other interested parties.

If signed, Da Silva will add to the plethora of bright young talents currently emerging under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the Theatre of Dreams.
