The international break certainly has fans of club football waiting eagerly. Most will be hoping that their key players keep up their good performances and don’t get overwhelmed by fatigue, or worse, injury.

At the same time, the form conjuncture at which the side dispersed for the break will also have a significant impact on the manner in which the club considers how they are poised.

At Manchester United, this mood isn’t the best. The season didn’t get off to the best of starts and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s lads have shown a mixed run of games.

As of such, this break is one of uncertainty and gloom. Despite that, hope glimmers through a familiar face.

Daniel James continued his absolutely brilliant run of games by scoring for his country when Wales took on Belarus in an international friendly. James’ goal in the 17th minute was the default winner as the game ended 1-0.

Ryan Giggs ought to have been immensely pleased with the performance of the lad whose short time at Manchester United has already begun drawing comparisons to his own legendary stay at Old Trafford.

Likewise, fans took to social media to laud the youngster.

It is quite remarkable to see how James is playing and his age and untapped potential certainly points to further improvement. Just last season he was plying his trade as a relative nobody in the Championship and now he has the genuine opportunity to make the crucial difference for the Red Devils.

The goal for Wales was his fourth one in six games for club and country and points to a form just as electric as his pace on the pitch.

United fans will now be hoping that a similar spirit is embodied by the rest of their players as well when they return to action on the 14th of September against Leicester City.
