It is quite remarkable to see how James is playing and his age and untapped potential certainly points to further improvement. Just last season he was plying his trade as a relative nobody in the Championship and now he has the genuine opportunity to make the crucial difference for the Red Devils.

The goal for Wales was his fourth one in six games for club and country and points to a form just as electric as his pace on the pitch.

United fans will now be hoping that a similar spirit is embodied by the rest of their players as well when they return to action on the 14^th of September against Leicester City.
