Mario Mandzukic is waiting for Manchester United to come and get him in January.

On Friday, Italian outlet Tuttosport published a report on the potential players that could arrive and depart from the Old Trafford club in the 2020 winter transfer window.

The first half of the report focused on Paul Pogba, who is supposedly demanding mammoth wages worth £600k-a-week to extend his stay with the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, both Juventus and Real Madrid continue to monitor the Frenchman’s uncertain situation in Manchester.

The second half of the report claims that Mario Mandzukic is eagerly “waiting” for the Mancunian giants to sign him up come January.

The 33-year-old striker was heavily linked with a summer move to the Theatre of Dreams. However, the switch eventually collapsed, with his age being dubbed as the most likely factor.

But now, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer desperate for attacking reinforcements as well as experienced additions, a January pursuit seems to be back on the cards.

While Manchester United have several targets on their wishlist, Mandzukic will be the most affordable of the lot, prized within the range of €12m and €15m.

The Croatian has also attracted interest from Qatar, but he is willing to turn it down in favour of United, even if that would mean accepting significantly lesser pay.
