Solskjaer Looking To Sign Richarlison ‘To Build His Forward Line’
January is just under two months away but deals are bound to be discussed on a day-to-day basis at those outfits who wish to be proactive in their approach.
For Manchester United, the winter transfer window will be more than just a period of routine purchasing and selling and will largely be viewed as an opportunity to fix the flaws that have plagued them so far this season.
At the same time, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to remain realistic and not go for a repeat frustration of this summer wherein some big names snubbed the Red Devils.
Now, the Evening Standard has published a list of the Norwegian gaffer’s revised transfer hopes for the winter window.

While a couple of names are as expected, there are still some surprises.
The acquisition of an adequate striker and a central attacking midfielder are crucial to this list, which is certainly in keeping with the club’s larger needs.
Mario Mandzukic, a name that has been linked with Old Trafford for a while now gains a mention, although his age makes him an unlikely prospect.
Instead, the report claims that Everton striker Richarlison is a player that Solskjaer is looking at purchasing, as his youth makes him one for the long-term. Similarly, starlets Erling Haaland and Moussa Dembele also make the cut, probably due to the recent reports about United scouting them.

It has to be mentioned, however, that the sheer number of clubs interested in the last two and Haaland, in particular, may make it a tough ordeal to go through.
In the midfield. Leicester City’s James Maddison is mentioned, as is former Liverpool midfielder Emre Can.
While Maddison is likely to be priced out of a deal by the Foxes, Can will have to willingly give up Champions League football to join Old Trafford.
