Twitter Reacts To Fred’s Energetic Performance Against Man City
Everyone associated with Manchester United has hailed Brazilian midfielder Fred for his performance in the 2-1 derby win over Manchester City on Saturday.
The 26-year-old followed-up his immense display against Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur earlier this week with an even better one at the Etihad. By dominating the middle of the mark against two of the top six teams, Fred has effectively declared his talent and capability to the world.
His performance against Pep Guardiola’s men also led manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to name him the man of the match for the derby.
Speaking after the game, the Norwegian gaffer hailed the former Shakhtar Donetsk star by stating: “Arguably man of the match today. He took the ball, he’s playing against Kevin de Bruyne, probably the best player in the league and I thought he was excellent.”
Ole then heaped praise on the new, effective central midfield partnership between Fred and Scott McTominay, which has helped the team tremendously in the absence of star midfielder Paul Pogba.
“It’s great to see it, the boy deserves it. But when you get a run, and keep the team together, Scott and Fred have made a great partnership,” the manager added.
Like Ole, supporters of Manchester United have also had only positives things to say about their Brazilian talent, and they have taken to social media to express their thoughts on the player’s recent performances.
Here are the best of reactions from social networking platform, Twitter:
We’ve reached the point where Fred is nutmegging Rodri. This is pretty much humilation.

Fred’s excess energy won’t be wasted. It’ll be siphoned into the national grid to power celebrations in Manchester this evening.
