Manchester United’s latest transfer prospect looks to be one that is on the verge of being secured or abandoned altogether. Erling Braut Haaland has been increasingly linked to the Red Devils in the recent weeks but the fresh pieces of rumors have gone haywire.

The general mood is that the youngster is poised to make a massive decision about his future before the January window formally commences.

As of such, the festive period is crucial to this saga.

In the midst of all of this, the player himself has done something that has added to the flurry of speculation.

On his Instagram stories, Haaland posted images of him autographing club jerseys. The most prominent one was definitely the Manchester United home jersey. In addition to that, shirts from RB Salzburg, Leeds United, and Napoli were likewise included in the signing session, which is believed to have occurred at a fan event.

Meanwhile, Norwegian outlet VG (via MEN) further add to the story by revealing that RB Haaland was at a dinner organized by Rosseland BK at Bryne Kro & Hotell was part of a fundraiser for a local club.

However, the Norwegian’s actions have led fans to further speculate on his next destination. The fact that he wore a different attire and used to a different pen altogether for signing the jerseys apart from the United one has caught attention.

The obvious hint dropped is that the other shirts may have been a masking technique to manage expectations given the news-heavy nature of this transfer and hence the shift in the other stories since the United jersey was the first one.

However, the individuals who spotted it and commented on the move were clearly unfazed by this alleged intent. If anything, it appears to have raised their hopes even further.

As the days get closer to the winter window, this saga is bound to be one that everyone keeps a close eye on, especially since numerous other outfits are also linked with the Norwegian striker.
