With the winter transfer window over the horizon, Manchester United are showing significant interest in swooping Jean Clair Todibo from Barcelona.

The Frenchman has been struggling to receive desirable game time since his advent at Camp Nou. The Catalan club roped in the defender from Toulouse for just €2m in the previous winter. However, according to Spanish reports, Barca have set a price tag of €25m for securing his services over January.

Offering competition to the Red Giants, the Italian side AC Milan is also keeping the player under their radar. Regardless, as per the reports of Sport, the English club has held talks with Barca earlier this week discussing about a plausible transfer.

Making just five appearances in total for the Spanish club, the teenager is desperate for more chances and it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if he ends up being a Mancunian. With the current season having progressed halfway through, the youngster played in just three games, rendering it hard to assess the impact he would have in the Premier League.

However, having qualified through to the knockout stages, the Barca manager safely decided to test out the club by rotating his squad in their Champions League match against Inter Milan the pevious week. Susequently, the ex-Toulouse man notably played the entirety of the match.

Spanish reports have openly stated that United were set to offer €20m for the 19-year-old, and is looking to speed up negotiations to ensure a smooth transfer in the early weeks of January.

With the French Under 20 international still in hopes of getting more chances in the second half of this term, it’s safe to assert that the central defender’s future is way too uncertain at the moment with all these speculations of interest from other sides.
