On another Friday evening, reports from Portugal have surfaced claiming that the Sporting President Frederico Varandas is in England at the moment.

The distinguished figure is subsequently not taking part in a meeting between presidents of all Portuguese clubs according to TVI24 (via Sportwitness), owing to his departure to England.

Providing news to the supporters, Journalist Rui Pedro Braz has reportedly claimed that this travel could be connected to the likely transfer of Bruno Fernandes’ to Manchester United.

Moreover it’s also reported that the club vice president Hugo Viana had already accompanied agent Jorge Mendes, now followed by the President to England.

Braz was purportedly convinced of the speculation although there were no solid evidences to prove Varandas’ move was related with the transfer of Fernandes. The journalist just said that the President wouldn’t have made this trip ‘if not to finalise a deal’ according to Sportwitness.

In another event, A Bola reported the President’s trip to England, claiming its reason to be the Sporting midfielder. Although possibility of a move to other clubs wasn’t denied, they highlighted the name Man United as a linked club.

Record has even made claims that Varandas and Viana are ‘currently at Manchester United offices negotiating the transfer of Bruno Fernandes to Old Trafford as early as January’.
