Manchester United succeeded in securing a solid win over Norwich City, with the Canaries making the side’s job all too easy at Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford was the standout performer yet again, scoring first in the 27th minute and then doubling United’s lead in the second-half with a well-found penalty.

Anthony Martial added to the scoreline minutes later and substitute Mason Greenwood scored as well as the Red Devils managed to get their first win of the new decade.

David De Gea – 7.5

Solid showing from the Spaniard who didn’t have much to do for much of the game. Made a brilliant save of Cantwell’s impeccable shot in the first-half.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 8.0

Solid attacking presence and kept up the forward runs.

Harry Maguire – 8.2

Back from injury and proved just why United need him to stay fit badly.

Victor Lindelof – 7.8

Decent link-up from the Swede despite a few sloppy passes here and there.

Brandon Williams – 8.1

Solid performance from the teenager who came in for the injured Luke Shaw. Nearly scored.

Nemanja Matic – 7.5

Nothing too showy from the Serb but did a decent task at acting as the holding midfielder including some strong passes in a crowded midfield.

Fred – 7.4

Could have done better during the fixture to mark his 50th appearance. Needs to sure up his tackles.

Juan Mata – 9.0

Two assists from two sublime crosses. The Spaniard was an all-round presence and kept troubling the Canaries with his pitch-engulfing runs and creative movement.

Andreas Pereira – 7.0

Could have been much better but was impressive with his skills and few attempts in the first-half.

Anthony Martial – 8.0

Ought to have been more clinical in the first-half. Scored in the second spell and was decisive for the rest of the game.

Marcus Rashford – 9.0

Two brilliant goals from the youngster on his 200th appearance and would have certainly gone for the hattrick had he been kept on and not gotten injured. Sure showing and is repeatedly going for an early career highlight this season.

Substitutes

Daniel James – 7.4

Brought much more creativity to the game with his pace and eased the cementing of the win.

Mason Greenwood – 8.0

Did not take too long for the 18-year-old to find the back of the net. Super substitute.

Angel Gomes – Brought on too late to make an impact.
