Man Utd were able to muster a fruitful FA Cup encounter against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday. The game ended 1-0, in favor of the Red Devils, with Juan Mata netting the sole goal of the night in a fixture of lost opportunities and close chances.

Ever since the first game between these two sides in the Cup ended in a goalless draw, the fixture continued to have a look of a deadlock.

However, defensively both teams were incredible and the performance of one man has yet again stolen the show.

Brandon Williams was a force to be reckoned with during the game, maintaining a brilliance presence across the pitch. This performance was in a series of brilliant ones from the academy graduate and supporters of the Red Devils just can’t stop fawning over the starlet.

In addition to being an incredible performer for this outing, Williams has also been great for the squad ever since he was given a more regular role at left-back. In fact, in William’s last seven appearances in all competition, United have kept six cleansheets, which points to a massive catalyzing effect on part of the youngster.

Further still, his attacking ethos is outstanding as well. Williams keeps putting himself in promising forward areas and makes the kind of runs that are bound to be a regular source of goals once perfected.

In the Premier League fixture against Norwich City, he was painfully close to scoring as well which is a further testament to just what he is able to achieve if given more gametime.

With many reports claiming that Ashley Young is poised to leave United one way or another, a player like Williams will give Luke Shaw a massive competition for that coveted and all-important starting role.
