Liverpool are poised to make European football their crown yet again. The once unquestionable giants of the game certainly saw their long and frustrating period of decline.

Under Jurgen Klopp, however, the Merseyside Reds have seen a tremendous change of fortune. Last campaign saw them lift the Champions League title in jubilant fashion. This season, they are yet to taste defeat in England and are victorious atop the Premier League table, leaping upon records that are within reach.

As such, the side are favorites to win the League and have their exceedingly dynamic squad of players to thank. However, their front-three do lack a tad bit when compared to a familiar name.

Liverpool’s front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Mo Salah have netted 38 goals so far this campaign. At Manchester United, however, the quickly emerging front-three of Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial, and Marcus Rashford now have 39 goals between them.

It is indeed quite telling of the plight of the Red Devils that despite leading on just a single goal between their attacking tridents, their League positions are woefully apart.

Liverpool have netted 50 goals all campaign in the League, while United’s players have only managed a meager 36. As such, the lack of quality elsewhere in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side has spelled this chasm of difference.

Having said that, the youthful trio at Old Trafford inspires plenty of hope and they just seem to be getting started.

There is certainly little that United fans can do from denting the title hopes of their bitter rivals. However, when the two teams clash on Sunday, the Red Devils can certainly hope to end Liverpool’s winning streak.
