Disappointing the supporters, Ole Gunnar Solskjær has recently revealed that Marcus Rashford will be out for another few months, rendering his availability for Euro 2020 skeptical.

Coming on as a substitute in the FA Cup third round replay against Wolves last month, the Englishman suffered a back injury. Initially, it was expected that he would only miss a few weeks, however the condition has reportedly worsened and the chances of him playing again this season are low.

The English forward suffered a double stress fracture which might possibly have ended his participation in the Euro 2020.

Ahead of their Europa League clash with Club Brugge, Solskjaer made these disappointing revelations. The Norwegian manager proclaimed: “I would hope he’s playing this season but it will just be touch and go towards the end. Hopefully we get through this tournament and prolong the season. It takes time.

“I’m not a doctor but I was hoping he would recover quicker. It actually looks like he’s going to be out for another few months definitely.”

When inquired about the Euro 2020, the gaffer stated: “Well, I would hope he plays before then but if he’s not fit enough he won’t go.

“He had a scan and it was maybe more severe, that fracture, than what we hoped for and expected. He felt fine the few days before that.

“I’ve never done anatomy in school so I didn’t know it takes that time to recover, but when it heals he’ll be stronger for it – it’s important we won’t rush him.”

Nevertheless, M.E.N reports that England begin their Euros campaign against the Czech Republic on June 14 at Wembley and have up until 24 hours before that game to decide on whether to have Rashford in their squad.
