‘KDB Come Outside’ – Twitter Reacts to Bruno Fernandes’ Goal vs Everton
The Premier League offered one of its classics as Manchester United were held 1-1 by Everton at Goodison Park. The Red Devils gifted the home side the opener when David De Gea’s frankly sloppy error ensured that Dominic Calvert-Lewin opened the scoring in the 3rd minute of the game.
Bruno Fernandes provided United’s response with his goal in the 31st minute. All action was reserved until the second half thereon where corners and set-pieces kept coming.
Everton seemed to have nicked all three points in added time when a Harry Maguire deflection ended in the back of the net. However, VAR ruled that the play was interfered by Richarlison who was in an offside position, in a controversial decision overruling the goal.
Thus, Fernandes’ spectacular attempt from outside the box kept the Red Devils within the game and snatched that crucial point.
Fans were ecstatic at the display of the Portuguese international and the midfielder’s first goal for United from open play led Twitter to go on a praise-fest.

More dubious goalkeeping but regardless of that, Bruno Fernandes is terrific.

This was the former Sporting star’s third goal in as many games and he was thoroughly impressive across the fixture. The heat-map of his contribution alone would paint a better picture of the same as the 25-year-old was practically everywhere on the pitch, demonstrating impeccable intelligence.

His movement aside, the composure he showed was vital too and his creative inputs could have singlehandedly won the game for United had more quality dotted the pitch.
His arrival has done heaps of good to the club and further highlights just how starved of skills United seem to be at certain points.
Regardless, the prolific star has shown his fans what he is capable of and now they will be hungry for more from him.
