Manchester United Reach An Agreement With Chelsea Target Tiemoue Bakayoko
Manchester United seem to have hijacked yet another Chelsea transfer target, as reports from the Daily Star suggest the Red Devils have reached an agreement with Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko.
The French midfielder has been linked with a big money move to Stamford Bridge all summer, with the Blues rumoured to be the sole frontrunners in this transfer race all along.
However, the Chelsea board delayed the negotiations and failed to wrap up the deal quickly, and they now seem to have paid the price for it, as the youngster has reportedly agreed to make a sensational move to the Theatre of Dreams instead.

Manchester United were previously believed to be targeting Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic, but Antonio Conte wanted to wait until his club board completed the Bakayoko signing before allowing the Serbian midfielder to secure a transfer away from London.
But now, the Old Trafford giants seem to have leapfrogged the reigning English Champions in the pursuit of Bakayoko, and have agreed to sign the France international for a fee of £35 million.
If this report turns out to be true, Chelsea’s embarrassing defeat at the hands of Man United in the race for the signatures of Romelu Lukaku as well as Tiemoue Bakayoko are sure to leave Antonio Conte fuming, as the Italian tactician was already displeased with the Blues’ lack of transfer activity this summer.
On the other hand, Jose Mourinho will be delighted with the business done by his club’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward this summer, and with Bakayoko’s addition to the United squad, the Europa League winners can now mount a genuine title challenge in the Premier League as well as the Champions League.
