Revealed: Jose Mourinho’s Deadline Day Plans

With three matches played in the new season so far, Manchester United sit atop of the table after winning each one of them. The team seem to be in the mood of staying there all season, and the reason behind their strength is the early bit of business done this summer.

Jose Mourinho has had a really successful transfer window this year, and has strengthened all departments of his squad by bringing in Lukaku, Lindelof, Matic, and Ibrahimovic.

This early and quick bit of business done by the Red Devils makes their deadline day a relatively inactive and quiet one, with no major changes in the senior lineup expected to be made. Mourinho did want an attacking full-back or a pacy winger before the end of the month, but seems to be content without achieving the same.

Players like Ronaldo, Bale, Perisic, and Willian were all linked with a move to United, but none seemed to work out. However, the form of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, and backup options of Lingard and Mata seem to be enough to keep the boss in a positive mood until at least January.

While a few juniors and academy prospects might be sent out on loan, no other activity in the team will be taking place through the doors of Old Trafford this summer, reports Duncan Castles of Yahoo.

The Red Devils are yet to concede a goal this campaign, but have already scored ten, and are the only team to have a 100% winning rate so far. Jose Mourinho generally carries a second season charm wherever he goes, and this will exactly be what the United faithful have been waiting for.
