Gareth Bale has been linked with a move to Manchester United for years now. Even this year, there were strong rumors of the Red Devils signing the former Tottenham player.
Jose Mourinho was often full of praise for the Wales international, as he sought to sign the Real Madrid superstar. However, a move couldn’t materialise in the end, as Bale decided to prolong his future at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Meanwhile, Juventus have emerged as the surprise suitors for the signature of Bale. The Italian club is looking to sign the wide-man in the winter transfer window to beat the competition from Manchester United, who are considering making a bid in the summer transfer window next year.
According to Calciomercato, Juventus will give their all to sign the pacey winger in January.
However, the likeliness of such a big deal happening in the winter transfer window is thin, and the Serie A giants might find it very hard to get the deal over the line.
The emergence of younger players like Isco, Asensio, and Lucas Vasquez has put Bale’s starting role in danger. As a result, the forward might look to leave for a big club like Juve or Man United to have a bigger role. It would be interesting to see which team Bale chooses to join if he does decide to move away from Real.
