Everyone Is Loving What Pogba Did With Dembele

Jose Mourinho will be breathing a sigh of relief, as some hope still remains for his campaign.

On Saturday, Man United were able to come back from 1-0 down to defeat Tottenham 1-2 at Wembley, effectively sealing their spot in the FA Cup finals, where they’ll face either Chelsea or Southampton.

An early effort from Dele Alli made several consider that United would tumble down, and that Mourinho would have a lot of explaining to do.

Fortunately, the Red Devils were able to respond quite well when Pogba fired a cross to Sanchez, which the Chilean rocketed into the back of the net. In the second half, it was Herrera that cleanly won United the game with a well-timed shot.

However, the highlight of the match might as well have been given in the build-up to the first goal.

Having seen very dull opening minutes, Paul Pogba seemed set for another disappointing outing, with the Frenchman already too unsure in trying to put Eriksen off the ball that led to the opening goal.

However, when the opportunity provided itself, Pogba’s inner strength unleashed, and he practically shrugged off Mousa Dembele before launching a gorgeous cross that seemed destined for Sanchez’s head.

The overpowering of Dembele, who is regarded as one of the strongest players out there, gave Twitter much fodder for banter. Needless to say, the player himself might be in a trance as to how Pogba managed to pull it off.

Pogba certainly seems adamant to make a strong statement, after several reports emerged that his largely negative performances over the past few weeks would lead him to be sold in the summer, as Mourinho wasn’t able to find a way to bring him back into form.

Let’s hope Pogba doesn’t find sight of those reports again, lest he goes ahead and smashes them aside akin to Dembele.
