Cristiano Ronaldo has undoubtedly cemented himself as one of the greatest players to have graced football.

When the Portuguese superstar left Real Madrid to join Juventus, many speculated that the forward’s glory days had come to an end as a result. However, Ronaldo has been adept at his goal-scoring prowess and despite being 34 years of age, he remains a vital cog in any team he starts in.

Recently, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United player did an interview with Piers Morgan which has been hailed for its emotional nature.

In the session, Ronaldo opens up about his roots and gives out some touching details.

Speaking to ITV, Ronaldo reveals his struggles as a youngster: “We were a little hungry. We have a McDonald’s next to the stadium, we knocked on the door and asked if they had any burgers. There was always Edna and two other girls. I never found them again.”

He goes on to add: “I asked people in Portugal, they closed the McDonalds, but if this interview can help find them, I would be so happy. I want to invite them to Turin or Lisbon to come have dinner with me because I want to give something back.”
