Louis van Gaal Gives His Thoughts On Pep Guardiola’s Premier League Move
Manchester City confirmed on Monday that current Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola will replace Manuel Pellegrini at the helm at the end of the season.
After months of United, City and Chelsea job speculations, Manchester City announced on Monday that Guardiola will replace Manuel Pellegrini as their manager at the end of the season.
Asked about the chance of battling it out in Manchester with the next City boss, Van Gaal insisted that he is “very pleased” to see Pep Guardiola being named as Manchester City’s manager.
“He is my former captain so I am very pleased to see him.
“And I can speak Spanish so it is very convenient for me.”
Guardiola played under Van Gaal during their time together at Barcelona, where the Dutchman appointed the Spanish midfielder as his team’s captain.
