BT Pundit Harry Redknapp Claims Jose Mourino to Man United Is A “Done Deal”

BT Sport pundit and former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has claimed Jose Mourinho’s move to Manchester United is a ‘done deal’.

Jose Mourinho has been widely tipped to succeed Louis van Gaal in the summer, and the odds on him being in charge for United’s first game of the next season are as short as 1/6 with bookmakers.

United have struggled for consistency under the Dutchman, and pressure on the under-fire manager increased further after the Red Devils slumped to a 2-1 defeat at lowly Sunderland on Saturday.

According to the BBC, Manchester United have already held talks with the Portuguese manager’s representatives. However, The Guardian claimed last week that the former Chelsea boss was considering alternative options due to the fact that he was yet to be contacted by Manchester United.

Speaking to US radio station Sirius XM, Harry Redknapp, who managed the likes of Tottenham and Portsmouth, believes that Jose Mourinho’s move to Manchester United is already wrapped up.

He told : “It hasn’t worked out at all for Louis van Gaal at Manchester United. It’s been a disaster for him. No doubt about that.

“From the people I know who are in the know, it seems Jose Mourinho to United is a done deal.”
