Arsenal And Man Utd Alerted After Watford Pave Way For Ighalo To Leave

Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United could be clear to sign Odion Ighalo, as Watford prepare to cash in on the forward this summer, according to the Mirror.

The 26-year-old Nigerian’s form in his debut Premier League season has apparently interested big boys Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea. The fact that he’s plying his trade with newly-promoted Watford makes it all the more impressive, as the Nigerian doesn’t have world class playmakers behind him.

Ighalo’s 14 goals in 26 games on the back of a dominating campaign in the Championship would undoubtedly be a great fit up front for Arsenal, whose hunt for a striker is no secret, and United, who have lacked spark in attack this season.

The Mirror claims that the London based club are hoping to secure a pre-contract agreement for Granada striker Isaac Success, who has netted four times for the La Liga club this season. Just like Ighalo, Issac Success is also a Nigerian international, and the pair have both spent time together at Granada.

Watford’s owner Gino Pozzo is the son of Granada owner Giampaolo Pozzo, and the Hornets are hopeful that this will enable them to tie up a deal for La Liga frontman.
