Man United Striker Set To Undergo Surgery, Confirms Louis van Gaal

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has revealed Will Keane needs to undergo an operation, after the 23-year-old striker suffered a groin injury against Shrewsbury Town last week.

Van Gaal’s side struggled to find the back of the net earlier in the season and hence, the Dutchman recalled the 23-year-old striker from his loan spell with Preston.

The English striker came off the bench against Shrewsbury Town, but was forced out of the game minutes later after receiving a knock and now, his manager has confirmed that the young striker will require an operation.

“There’s no player in the English Premier League who can cope with the rhythm of matches.

“We have seen that because a player like Rooney, who could always cope with that rhythm, is injured and not for the first time.

“I have Rooney, I have Martial, I have Rashford. I had Keane, but Keane is injured and shall be operated on.”
