Neymar Open For A Move Away After Contract With Barcelona Ends, Reveals Agent
Barcelona superstar Neymar’s agent, Wagner Ribeiro, has revealed that the Brazilian may be open for a move away from FC Barcelona once his contract ends in 2018.
Neymar joined Barcelona in 2013, and has since established himself firmly in the first-team. The winger is currently part of the ‘MSN’ trio alongside teammates Messi and Suarez – an attacking trio which some believe to be one of the best of all time.
With such consistent high-level performances, the 24-year-old has a mega release clause in his contract, worth £154m.
However, his agent Wagner Ribeiro feels a move away from Barcelona remains a possibility nonetheless, amid rumours suggesting Neymar could be tempted by a move to Paris St Germain.
Speaking to L’Equipe, agent Ribeiro said: “Neymar has a contract with Barca until 2018. He feels good in Barcelona, he’s loved over there and he’s playing for the best team in the world. It’s no small feat to impose yourself at such an enormous club.
“But the prospect of living in a city like Paris and to play for a club like PSG – that’s also a dream for every player. We’ll see in two years, when he will be at the end of his contract. If PSG show an interest in Neymar, we can discuss it.
“A contract can also be terminated provided that the release clause is paid. It’s huge: 193m euros. But I don’t think that would be an insurmountable problem for PSG.”
