Gonzalo Higuain Wanted By Jose Mourinho At Old Trafford
Sunday People: Jose Mourinho tells friends he will be Manchester United manager this summer, already plotting a £70m move for Gonzalo Higuain.
Sunday People is carrying a story saying that Jose Mourinho has told friends and interested suitors, including Paris Saint-Germain, that he will be heading to Manchester United this summer and has already started making enquiries over possible transfers in the upcoming summer window, with Napoli’s Gonzalo Higuain his primary transfer target.
The 28-year-old worked with Jose Mourinho for three years at Real Madrid, and the Portuguese is keen to bring the Argentina international to spearhead his new attack in England.
Higuain has already scored 32 goals in all competitions for the Serie A giants – a tally bettered by only two men in Europe’s top five divisions, and Napoli have slapped a £95 million valuation on him.
But with only two years left on the former Real Madrid man’s current deal, Napoli are likely to drop the figure.
