Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann has opened up and revealed where his future lies, in an interview with French television network Canal Plus.
Antoine Griezmann has been in fine form this season, scoring 32 goals in 53 appearances and playing a humongous role in taking his side to the UEFA Champions League Final. His stand-out performances have attracted the interest of several European powerhouses like Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Atletico Madrid’s arch-rivals Real Madrid.
However, Griezmann has put an end to all the speculation surrounding his future by committing to Atletico in a recent interview with Canal Plus. The Frenchman revealed: “I feel good at Atletico. I’m in the process of seeing about renewing my contract and we’re on the right track. So I hope we can finish it.”
The 25-year-old was also specifically asked how he would respond if his fellow countryman and footballing legend Zinedine Zidane asked him to join the Los Blancos, to which he replied: “First of all he’d have to call. Then I’d respond because he’s a great player and a great person all the same. But I feel good at Atletico.”
