High Profile Clubs Seek Azpilicueta’s Services

César Azpilicueta, who is currently at Chelsea FC, may be leaving the club soon, and that too for a cut price.

The Spanish right-back still has three years left on his current contract with the Blues, but talk of a potential transfer is at an all-time high.

Sky Sports’ Spanish Football Expert Guillem Balague made a statement about the Spaniard, in which he said:

“Some of the top clubs in Europe are after Azpilicueta’s signature, not least because of his versatility in being able to play in both full-back positions with equal confidence.

“If Chelsea were willing to sell, the front runners would be Atletico Madrid although they have recently cooled on the idea. There are, however, a host of clubs and top-flight managers that would love to see the Pamplona-born defender join their ranks, not least Unai Emery, who is on the very verge of taking over from Laurent Blanc at PSG.”

Guillem went on further to explain Chelsea’s valuation of Cesar, he said:

“If Chelsea is going to sell him, to make it worth their while they will be looking for around 18m euros for the utility full-back. Chelsea will, however, stick to their valuation primarily because they would be quite happy to see him stay at the club although they wouldn’t stand in his way if they received an offer that they felt they couldn’t refuse.”

Some of the clubs interested in the César Azpilicueta’s services include Bayern Munich, Barcelona, and Manchester United.

A reunion with Jose Mourinho doesn’t seem likely, but things are hard to predict in the football world. What seems most likely is that César will remain at his current club, unless a club offers more that 18 million euros for his services.
