Mino Raiola Hits Back At Gary Lineker After Pogba Comments

Paul Pogba is one of the biggest rising talents in world football, and his consistent performances has seen him get linked with numerous European giants like Real Madrid, Manchester United and Barcelona. Juventus are reportedly only open to selling if suitors are ready to break the bank and spend over €100 million for the 23-year-old.

Mino Raiola, one of the most influential agent in footballing world, known to protect and over-hype his clients, rates Paul Pogba highly.

“[Pogba] is worth more than Bale,” Raiola once told Sky Sport.

“If the Welshman [Bale] is worth 100 million, then Pogba is worth twice as much.”

However, England legend Gary Lineker questioned Paul Pogba’s quality on twitter, after the Frenchman’s below-par performance against Ireland in EURO 2016 quarter-finals.

Linker’s tweet didn’t go down well with Mino Raiola, and he questioned the Englishman’s “knowledge of football” in an interview with Rai Sport.

“When someone is paid to talk about something, that doesn’t mean he knows what he is talking about. Lineker is one of those,” he said.

“When Gary Lineker talks about Pogba, he hasn’t the slightest idea what he is talking about.

“I remember he said if Claudio Ranieri won the Premier League title with Leicester City, he would present his show in his underpants. That tells you everything.

“Considering the qualities Paul has and the prices I see around Europe, I think Paul is underrated. How much is he worth? The maximum amount a club is prepared to pay for him.

“Just look at a player who is on the bench of Belgium and Olympique Marseille, but is being sold for €40m.”
