N’Golo Kante Likely To Join Antonio Conte At Chelsea

Leicester City star N’Golo Kante very likely to join Chelsea this summer, as per reports.

N’Golo Kante – Leicester City’s midfield general – has been one of the most consistent performers for the Foxes throughout the season, and has played a crucial role in helping them lift the Premier League trophy for the first time in the history of the club.

His individual performances were officially recognised when he was nominated for the PFA Player of the Year Award, which was eventually scooped by his fellow teammate Riyad Mahrez.

After playing such a great season and winning a league medal with Leicester, however, N’Golo Kante has decided to move on to another club, as per reports.

According to L’Equipe’s report from last month, Kante’s representatives were in the process of discussing a potential transfer to Manchester City, but the French midfielder was believed to have a preference for a move to London instead.

And now, the 25-year-old is being heavily linked with a move to London giants Chelsea, with The Telegraph claiming that the midfielder will join Antonio Conte’s side in this summer transfer window.

The France international has a release clause worth £20 million, but the Blues are willing to make the highest bid – even if the exceeds the release clause fee – to fend off other interested parties like Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus, and get the signing done.

And to increase the speculation even further, Leicester City have now confirmed the signing of Nampalys ‘Papy’ Mendy from OGC Nice on a four-year deal – a player that looks to be a perfect replacement for Kante should he leave the reigning English Champions.
