Zidane Keen To Complete N’Golo Kante Transfer
Zinedine Zidane is very keen on bringing Leicester City star N’Golo Kante to Real Madrid this summer, as per reports.
N’Golo Kante was one of the most consistent performers for the Foxes throughout last season, and played a crucial role in helping them lift the Premier League trophy for the first time in the history of the club.
His individual performances were officially recognized when he was nominated for the PFA Player of the Year Award, which was eventually scooped up by his fellow teammate Riyad Mahrez. Not only that, but his midfield dominance also won him an international call-up, and the 25-year-old is now in France to represent his nation in the Euro 2016 tournament.
Having played such a great season and won a league medal with Leicester, Kante has now decided to move on to a bigger club, according to various reports. And his wish may soon come true, as not only a bigger club, but perhaps the biggest club in the world is now interested in securing his services.
Reigning European Champions Real Madrid are supposedly looking to sign Kante, as their manager Zinedine Zidane is believed to be a huge fan of his fellow countryman.
Kante is being linked with moves to Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United as well, but Real may blow all the competition out of the water by offering Leicester a sum of £25 million – £5m north of his release clause, which is reportedly worth £20 million.
And it looks like the English Champions have already prepared themselves for life without Kante, by signing Nampalys ‘Papy’ Mendy from OGC Nice on a four-year deal. Mendy is a player that looks to be a perfect replacement for Kante should he leave the Foxes.
The Madrid giants chasing Kante so aggressively would now mean that they have turned their backs on signing the very expensive Paul Pogba from Juventus, leaving Manchester United the sole contenders for his signature.
