Napoli’s ‘official radio station’ Radio Kiss Kiss have revealed that the former Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain will join Arsenal in a player plus cash deal, with Frenchman Olivier Giroud swapping the Arsenal red for the Napoli blue. Arsenal will also pay Napoli a fee of €50m+.
Ita Sport Press, a part of the highly reliable Gazetta dello Sport, have claimed that Higuain will go to Arsenal. This news comes right after the news of Higuain signing for Juventus for a club record fee.
They went on to explain: “According to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, the official radio station of the Neapolitan club, the rumours about Juventus are true, but in the end, Pipita will go abroad.”
They said that Higuain will move away from Italy, and Arsenal are offering Giroud to further increase the economic value of their €50m bid. Details of this transfer haven’t been revealed as yet on the radio station’s Twitter account, but we can trust the word of Gazetta dello Sport – who have a pretty good track record.
Has Arsene Wenger announced the North London club’s intent to win the title with with this big money move? Can Gonzalo Higuain be the man who can finally fire the Gunners to their first Premier League title of this decade? Only time will tell.
