Manchester United Looking To Sign Brazilian Defender
Manchester United are set to complete the signing of Brazilian right-back Fabinho from Monaco for a fee of £22 million, according to Italian football journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.
Fabinho had a decent season with Monaco in the French Ligue 1 last term, wherein he managed to score an impressive tally of 6 goals in the 34 appearances he made for the club.
The 22-year-old’s performances saw him linked with a potential £12 million switch to Serie A outfit Napoli, but the transfer failed to take place. And now, just a month after Fabinho’s failed move to the Italian giants, the Brazilian international is being valued around the range of £25 million by his current club.
Manchester United are currently being linked with the right-back, and the Red Devils are ready to offer £22 million for the defender’s services, as per Emanuele Giulianelli (via Daily Star).

The Italian journalist broke the news out on twitter by stating: “Fabinho will become a Manchester United player soon. Before sealing Fabinho deal, Manchester United need to sell 2 or 3 players.”
And as per Giulianelli’s report, one defender has already left the Old Trafford club for at least one season.
Manchester United’s Uruguayan right-back Guillermo Varela has joined the Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan deal.
Furthermore, it looks like Tyler Blackett – who spent last season out on loan at Scottish giants Celtic – is set to depart from Manchester as well, after failing to receive a shirt number in United’s provisional squad numbers list.
However, Fabinho’s move to Manchester United remains doubtful still, thanks to Jose Mourinho mentioning that having already signed Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the current summer transfer window, the club had completed singing 75 per cent of their initial four transfer targets – leaving the signing of just one more midfielder, who is widely believed to be Paul Pogba.
