Romelu Lukaku Hands In Transfer Request As Chelsea Close In
Belgian forward0 Romelu Lukaku is believed to have already handed in a transfer request, and has also told his teammates that he will be leaving the Toffees soon, with Chelsea his most likely destination.
Chelsea are believed to have made a £68 million offer for their former attacker, according to the Sportsmail. But the Toffees are looking to get at least £75 million out of the deal.
The Belgian has some unfinished business with the Blues, after he left the London club two years ago. The 23-year-old is looking to make a greater impact on the squad than he had during his first stint at the club.
According to reports, Lukaku is so keen on a return to the Bridge, that he will hand in a transfer request so that he can leave his club as soon as possible. The deal is currently being held up as Chelsea are not willing to meet Everton’s massive £75 million asking price for the striker.
Antonio Conte was also looking to bring Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata to Chelsea, but Zidane is unwilling to let the Spaniard leave the Los Blancos.

Conte is believed to be looking to play two strikers per game during the upcoming season. This would mean that he would have to sign at least one more striker.
Romelu Lukaku played 46 matches last season and scored 25 goals for the Merseyside club – the form that has earned him his £75 million price tag.
Chelsea have already signed an attacking player this season, Michy Batshuayi, but still need a big name if they are to resolve last season’s disastrous performance, which saw them finish 10th in the league.
