Manchester United look set to announce the world-record signing of Paul Pogba before the player has signed a contract and a medical is completed, according to James Ducker of The Telegraph.
The Pogba to United story has been the saga of the summer, and it looks set to drag on, with senior sources at Old Trafford claiming that no deal has been agreed yet between the player and the two clubs.
Despite this, United may still choose to announce the signing before the medical and the signing of the contract by the player himself is completed.
The deal will reportedly see Manchester United pay a world-record £100 million for the player, however reports suggest that Juventus may only announce the deal at £84 million due to tax.

Manchester United’s cash cow seems to be overflowing, with the club seemingly set to go all out to secure the France international’s services. Juventus, Pogba and agent Mino Raiola seem to be taking full advantage of this, with the player reportedly demanding a mammoth £220,000 weekly wage.
This will not be the first time United would have announced a signing in such a manner. They announced the signing of Daley Blind from Ajax in similar fashion in 2014, a day before the transfer was actually completed.
New manager Jose Mourinho will hope that the announcement comes as soon as possible, with the Portuguese aiming to have a full squad by the time United play Leicester City in the Community Shield on the 8th of August.
The Special One had set out 4 primary targets at the start of his reign in the Old Trafford hot seat- a defender, a midfielder, a creative midfielder and a striker. United have fulfilled three of those wishes with the signings of Eric Bailly, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and Pogba looks set to be the final piece of the puzzle.
The 23-year-old has kept United fans drooling over the last couple of weeks, with many teasing posts on various social media platforms hinting at the transfer. In his latest post on the popular social media site Twitter, he captions the image of him sitting in a plane: “Flight delay, thinking of football #footballislife”
A fan met the midfielder at JFK International Airport and asked about the United transfer.
“Just bumped into the £100 million man @paulpogba on the same flight as me into NYC,” Bennee Gee wrote. “Of course I asked if the man utd rumours were true but he just gave me a small smile and walked away…. Fingers crossed I guess.”
