Everton Set To Offer Lukaku New Lucrative Deal
The Daily Mirror have reported that Everton are preparing a new, more lucrative deal for Romelu Lukaku, as a last ditch effort to try and get the Belgian to stay with the Toffees.
Lukaku has been linked with a return back to Stamford Bridge in a deal which could be worth up to £75 million. Earlier reports claimed that the player himself was keen to move back to London, as he has some “unfinished business” with the Blues.
But, Everton are unwilling to sell their attacker, and are instead looking to try and keep him at the club by offering him a higher wage package. Everton are reportedly going to offer Lukaku a brand new £135,000 a week salary to try and convince him to stay at the club.
The 23-year-old officially left Chelsea in 2014, although during his time at the Blues, he was loaned out to West Bromwich and Everton. He only made 15 appearances for Chelsea, scoring no goals. He was initially brought in to replace Didier Drogba, but could not make as much of an impact as he would have hoped.

Lukaku was loaned out to West Bromwich, where he scored 17 goals in his 38 appearances. His proudest moment was most probably when he scored a hat-trick against Manchester United in the last match of the 2012/13 season. The match was extra special, as it was Sir Alex Ferguson’s 1500th and last match in charge of the Red Devils.
After West Bromwich, Chelsea loaned the striker out to Everton. He scored 16 goals in his first 33 appearances for the Toffees. His sublime form convinced Everton to pay a record £28 million for his permanent services. He went to score a further 45 goals for the Merseyside club, and the same form is now attracting his former club, Chelsea.
Antonio Conte has been looking to sign a new forward option for his squad, and it seems he is set on the Belgium international.
