“Of course but it has been going on for so much time now I think there was always going to be a possibility of that coming around soon.
“And we as players obviously knew that because there is a lot of talking that goes around. But of course seeing that today there was a good mood around the squad.
“It is another player to fit into our strong squad and there are going to be people fighting for places now.
“And that’s what you need at a top club like Manchester United to push us on to win more trophies like we did against Leicester.
“Everything in training has been looking sharp. There are a lot of happy faces and new faces that are coming into the training ground obviously and with the news about Pogba I hope the medical goes well and we see him in training on Tuesday but there is a real buzz about the place and we are all raring to go now.”
The Red Devils have had a good past few days. The club won a trophy, and confirmed that Paul Pogba will be having a medical with them.
Mourinho started looking for Pogba’s signature since his arrival in the Old Trafford hot-seat. But the end is now in sight, with the Frenchman already in Manchester to complete his medical and sign his new contract.
Pogba is believed to have already reached Manchester, after the airport authorities hinted that someone “important” has just landed.
Manchester United have agreed to pay a record £112 million in total just to secure the 23-year-old’s services, but his price could be paid off in three years in just the commercial income that the star man will bring to the club.
