Pogba: Two Real Madrid Players Convinced Me To Join Man United
Paul Pogba has revealed that two Real Madrid players convinced him to join Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.
As per the Frenchman’s statement, two Real Madrid players – Alvaro Morata and Raphael Varane – talked to Pogba, and said to him that Jose Mourinho was the man to help him achieve his dream of becoming the best player in the world.
In an interview with MUTV, Pogba was quoted as saying: “I spoke with a lot of players when he (Jose) was at Madrid; I spoke with (Alvaro) Morata and I spoke with others and they all told me he’s the coach for me, because he’s going to make you work harder. I feel this.”
The France international also talked about the conversations he has had so far with the new Manchester United boss.

“I spoke with him a few times and he gave me energy and positivity,” said the 23-year-old. “I was thinking ‘why not?’ I’m sure he can help me improve and make me a better player and a better person.”
The Portuguese boss also talked about his new star signing, and he had nothing but praises for the midfielder.
Mourinho stated: “He’s a very young player, an unbelievable midfield player with such physicality but, at the same time, such agility, co-ordination, skill. He has everything. What he has to learn now is how to play with us because I always say that in football you can be a super player, like he is, but a team is a team and you need to learn how to play in the team, and the team needs to learn how to play with you.
“We need to get the best out of him and this will be a process. So if he needs protection, I am here to protect. I know some people think that he arrives here now and, the first time he touches the ball, he scores, but I’m here to protect him and give him the best conditions to be what we think he is going to be, which is a football player for Man United, a reference for this club. I’m so happy.”
