Tyler Blackett Completes Medical, Transfer Imminent
Manchester United youngster, Tyler Blackett, is expected to complete his switch from the Red Devils to Championship side Reading.
Jose Mourinho is believed to have told the 22-year-old that he is free to leave Manchester, as he no longer sees a future with the defender.
Reports in England claim that Tyler has already completed his medical with Reading and is expected to finalize the switch within the next 24 hours.
Blackett is believed to be in advanced negotiations with the Championship side, as the 22-year-old was even spotted watching Reading’s 2-2 draw with Brighton.
Louis van Gaal was the man who promoted Tyler Blackett to the first team squad, and even relied on the youngster for part of the 2014/15 season.
He was sent out on loan to Celtic in 2015, where he failed to make much of an impact, and only managed to make three appearances.

It is unclear whether Blackett will be leaving on a loan deal or on a permanent transfer, with reports claiming that Manchester United will be happy with any decision.
Reading boss Jaap Stam, a former Manchester United player, revealed that his side are interested in Tyler Blackett. He spoke during his Brighton post-match interview:
“I don’t know. We’re still looking for a couple of signings. I know Tyler, not personally, but I know what he can do – what type of player he is, the way he can play.
“But I don’t know yet if it’s going to happen. We’ve shown our interest but I don’t know if we will succeed getting him to the club.”
Blackett, born in Manchester, is a versatile and relatively strong defender. He played in the back three when former Manchester United manager, Louis Van Gaal, played the squad in a 3-5-2 formation.
His performances earned him praise from the Dutch manager, but it seems Mourinho hasn’t been impressed by the youngster.
