Balotelli Linked With Shock Move To Premier League Giants

Mario Balotelli has been linked with a sensational switch to Manchester United by popular Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

According to the paper, the striker’s agent Mino Raiola is trying to convince the Old Trafford outfit to buy him.

Balotelli has been excluded from Jurgen Klopp’s plans and has been sent to train with the Liverpool u21’s. The Italian has struggled with attitude problems, and his inability to stay away from trouble has ultimately affected his football career, and his demise at Liverpool is very much his own doing.

Raiola, who was instrumental in Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba’s arrivals at United, is keen to find a new club for the much maligned forward, and has identified United as a suitable club due to the presence of Jose Mourinho, who worked quite successfully with Balotelli at Inter Milan.

The 26-year-old was a world beater a few years ago, but off the field controversies and distractions have derailed his career. He has struggled at Liverpool since making a £16 million move from Serie A club AC Milan in 2014. The deal was seen as a major bargain at the time, but two years down the line, it looks like the Merseyside club overpaid for him.

He managed only 4 goals in 28 appearances for the Reds in his debut season – just one of those coming in the Premier League – and returned to former club AC Milan the following season on a season-long loan deal. Milan were given the chance to re-sign the forward on a permanent deal after the loan expired, but turned down the offer as Balotelli scored only 1 goal in 20 Serie A appearances that season.

Many United fans have mocked the transfer rumours on Balotelli’s potential move to the Theatre of Dreams, with some even saying they would much rather the club re-signed Bebe.
