Mourinho Schedules Appointment With Super-Agent Jorge Mendes

The Special One is set to meet up with Jorge Mendes as he still seeks to add to his current squad.

Manchester United have been working closely with Mino Raiola this summer, as Zlatan Ibrahimović, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and Paul Pogba all made their way to the club in the current window.

Jorge Mendes is believed to be on his way to Manchester in order to hold talks with Manchester City defender, Eliaquim Mangala. And while Mendes is still in Manchester, the super-agent is also believed to be meeting up with his client, Jose Mourinho.

With less than a week to go before the transfer window closes, Mourinho is looking for a few last minute signings to toughen up his squad.

Jose Fonte is believed to be a prime target of Mourinho at the moment, as the Special One seeks an old and experienced defender to help out his current back four.

Fonte has already been offered a new deal by his current club, but the Portugal international now looks keen to play for a high-profile club, having been with the Saints since they were in the third tier of English football.

Monaco full-back, Fabinho, is also believed to be a potential target for Manchester United. However, Antonio Valencia has already filled in the right-back spot and has produced a few stunning performances,which have all but nailed his name in the starting squad.

Jose Mourinho also has to decide the future of several first-team players. Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marcos Rojo, Matteo Darmian, and Phil Jones are all waiting for their future to be decided by the gaffer.

However, Bastian took to social media a few days ago to state that Manchester United will be his last European club, which could mean that the German is either going to stay and fight for a spot, or consider retiring from the game.
