Fellaini Could Miss Belgium’s Friendlies Due To Back Injury

United continued their 100% winning start to the Premier League season, as substitute Marcus Rashford scored a winner in stoppage time to give his side all 3 points against Hull City.

However, Jose Mourinho revealed some bad news in post match press conference, as he confirmed that midfielder Marouane Fellaini has suffered a back injury.

Mourinho told reporters: “Marouane is a special guy for us in our defensive work. He has an injury in his back. It’s not good.”

The news comes as a big blow for the Red Devils, as Fellaini, who started all three Premier League games under their new boss, has been solid in front of the back four, and provided new signing Paul Pogba freedom to go forward.

However, Fellaini remains in Belgium’s squad for the upcoming international break, but could miss matches against Spain and Cyprus after injury.
