Marouane Fellaini Helps Woman During Celebrations

Marouane Fellaini is not one to be associated with kindness. Often known for his rashness and brutish behavior on the pitch, it’s hard to believe that the Belgian is actually a friendly giant at heart.

But Fellaini’s soft side was very much on display during United’s last gasp 1-0 win over Hull City.

The incident took place after Marcus Rashford scored a 92nd minute winner to give the Red Devils a well deserved three points. Hull put up an incredible defensive performance to shut United out for over 90 minutes, but the Old Trafford outfit finally broke through the defensive wall after a great dribble from Wayne Rooney took him to the edge of the box, where he squared it for Rashford to finish.

United fans, having been frustrated for so long during the game due to their side’s inability to find a breakthrough, went into a frenzy, jumping and yelling for joy as the players celebrated the goal with them.

While his team-mates celebrated, Fellaini noticed a woman who was visibly being crushed by fans desperate to get closer to the pitch and the players. The woman was being pressed against the advertisement boards and was in visible distress. Fellaini immediately pointed stewards to the woman and then went and helped her himself. She eventually managed to find her footing on the turf at KC Stadium.

Unfortunately for the Belgian, the game did not end as kindly for him, as he suffered a back injury. Mourinho confirmed that the injury did not look good and the 28-year-old, who has made an impressive start to the season, may be forced to sit on the sidelines for a few weeks.

The match wasn’t at Old Trafford, it was at Hull’s KC Stadium.
Good on Fellani though, beginning to prove a few doubters wrong.
