Mourinho Tells United Players To Bully City

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has told his players to bully Manchester City players in the air in the most eagerly anticipated, high profile derby in the last few years.

United players have been ordered to make full use of their massive height advantage over their rivals and bully them in the air.

The Red Devils have five players expected to start the game who are over six foot tall. Marouane Fellaini stands at 6ft 4in, Paul Pogba at 6ft 3in, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is the tallest of the lot, at a mammoth 6ft 5in. In goal, David De Gea will be a difficult presence to beat, standing at 6ft 4in.

City, on the other hand, have just three outfield players who are near the 6ft mark, with Nicolas Otamendi standing at exactly 6ft, and Aleksandar Kolarov and John Stones at 6ft 2in. The Citizens will be missing their captain Vincent Kompany, who would’ve added his imposing presence at 6ft 4in to the squad.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, United’s tallest player, has said that his teammates are determined to win the title, and that they must win points against their title challengers if they are to be lifting the silverware come May.

“It is a long season but we have started well,” the United striker said. “We have the ambition to win the title and it will be important that we try and take points off the teams that will be challenging [us]. These games always mean so much to the fans and we want to win for them but the players must always be focused.”
