France manager Didier Deschamps reportedly got angry on Manchester United star Paul Pogba for showing up late for training.

Paul Pogba has been on the receiving end of a lot of criticism ever since his world record transfer from Juventus to Manchester United. Many of his critics have not been convinced of the fact that the France international is worth £89 million, due to his average performances for the Red Devils.

And now, it looks like the midfielder’s poor luck has followed him to his international duty.

As per Get French Football, Pogba had to face the wrath of France manager Didier Deschamps, after he failed to show up for training on time. The 23-year-old arrived at the Stade de France not just late, but also last.

The former Juventus man also put in an average performance for the French team against Bulgaria in their 2018 World Cup qualifier on Friday, which the Les Bleus won 4-1.

When asked about him after the game, Deschamps told the reporters: “Paul can and must do better. He knows that.

“He did not play in a position that highlights him. In this position, his role is more about the construction of the game. He has everything to do it. He alternated between good things and less good things.”

But despite his loss of form as of late, Pogba’s friend and compatriot Antoine Griezmann is confident in the central midfielder’s abilities, and believes he will come good for both club and country.

“Paul needs affection. He tries to do his best, give everything,” said the Atletico Madrid star, who is rumoured to be a prime Manchester United transfer target.
