Jürgen Klopp has revealed the 3 Manchester United players he likes most, although he admits that he is not ‘allowed’ to like United players.

Jose Mourinho’s side travel to Anfield next Monday as the Premier League returns following an International break. The Red Devils will be hoping to improve on their previous Premier League performance, when they saw out a 1-1 draw against Stoke City.

Jürgen Klopp, also keen to flex his managerial muscles, will be helping the Reds climb up the table and possibly qualify for a Champions League spot.

Putting all the rivalry aside, there is no doubt in the immense talent possessed by both clubs, and it seems that the Liverpool boss could not hold back his admiration for a few Manchester United faces.

The former Dortmund man labelled Wayne Rooney, Zlatan Ibrahimović, and Paul Pogba as ‘World Class’ and admitted that his side will face an uphill battle in trying to secure the 3 points on Monday.

He started: “I am manager of Liverpool FC so I know it is not allowed to like United players!

“Rooney is a goal scorer and a threat. A situation like this can happen in a long career. From my side, he’s a world-class player.”

Klopp went on to discuss Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimović as well.

“They are both world-class players, when they’re in your team they are not worst than last year, for sure,” Klopp stated.

“Unfortunately this is a really strong side from Manchester, they know about football, they’re experienced, cool in the right moments, they don’t need world-class performances to win a game.

“Even on rainy days, it’s possible to score and win but it doesn’t mean they will win the game. It just means they have a chance.”

Wayne Rooney is expected to continue his time on the bench next Monday, after failing to impress manager Jose Mourinho so far this season.
