Inter Milan Ultras Visit Captain Icardi’s Home
Sky Sports have revealed that Inter Milan ultras ended up at Mauro Icardi’s house last Sunday, shortly after Inter’s 2-1 loss to Cagliari.
Inter failed to beat Cagliari last weekend, and the fans seemed to be even more furious at Inter captain Mauro Icardi, due to the 23 year old’s comments in his recently released autobiography.
The relationship between Icardi and the Inter fans also managed to hit a new low during the match, after the fans had put up a banner which read:
“You use a child to justify yourself and fling mud at us… You’re not a man… You’re not a Captain… You are just a vile piece of s***.”
And as if the captain hadn’t received enough hatred throughout the match, it was topped off when he missed a penalty in the first half.
The penalty miss was cheered by the Inter fans, while the player was booed throughout the match.
Sky Sports reporter, Kaveh Solhekol, revealed that a few die-hard Inter fans have managed to find their way to Icardi’s house, and will continue to taunt him from there.
So, what exactly did Icardi say to get the fans so ticked off? Have a look at an extraction from Icardi’s autobiography, Sempre Avanti, which was released last week.
Icardi explained an incident from last season, when Inter had lost 3-1 to Sassuolo. He and his teammate, Fredy Guarin, had walked towards the crowd in an attempt to apologise for Inter’s defeat.
The player explains that he had tossed his kit towards a kid who had asked for his shirt, but he goes on to say that another Inter fan took the kit away from the kid and threw it back at him.

“A head of the ultras jumps on him to take away the shirt and throws it back at me. This is when I start insulting him: ‘Piece of ****, you are acting all arrogant with a little kid to show off to the rest of the curva [Inter Milan ultras]? Do you think you’re hard?’”
However, the Inter Milan fans didn’t respond well to Icardi’s allegations, and it has since sparked fury within the Inter fan base.
“It is pathetic to read such things talking about us,” said one of the fans.
“He talks about helping little kids, then invents an incident that never happened to make himself seem superior to us, as if it weren’t obvious to all that we are the only Curva that helps kids design the choreography in the stands.
“You are finished with us. You’re done. TAKE THE ARMBAND OFF, YOU CLOWN. Yes, that is what we demand.”
It doesn’t look like smooth sailing for Icardi from here, but all we can hope is that this whole fiasco ends quickly and safely.
