Cristiano Ronaldo once again found himself out of luck on Sunday night, when he failed to convert a crucial penalty by hitting the post as well as the Latvian goalkeeper.

But despite missing from the spot, the Portuguese captain did manage to score a brace, and helped his side secure a 4-1 win over Latvia in their crucial World Cup 2018 Qualifier.

Thanks to Sunday’s victory, Portugal now sit second in Group B with 9 points – just 3 points behind leaders Switzerland.
