Manchester United are keeping eyes on Corinthians full-back Guilherme Arana, the player’s agent has confirmed.

Guilherme Arana is considered as one of Brazil’s most talented prospects, with numerous top clubs from all around Europe rumoured to be scouting the teenager.

The Brazil U20s international, who currently plays at Corinthians as a left-back, is being heavily monitored by Premier League giants Manchester United at present, as per his agent.

Fernando Garcia, the man who owns Elenko Sports – the company that represents Arana – recently told Brazilian news outlet Gazeta Esportiva: “We are not talking, but United are watching Arana.”

However, a lot more speculation has arisen lately, following one of Elenko Sports’ employees’ visit to Old Trafford.

Leo Carnacini, a representative of the agency, recently visited the Manchester club, and posted about it on his Instagram account with the caption: “Pleasure to meet again this amazing people.”

This post has given rise to several reports suggesting the Red Devils are all set to sign the young Brazilian, thereby creating doubts over Luke Shaw’s long-term future at the Theatre of Dreams.

Luke Shaw has endured a difficult life at Manchester United ever since the arrival of Jose Mourinho. The pair has, so far, shared a far-from-smooth relationship.

The Portuguese tactician has publicly criticised Shaw on not one but two occasions – once for performing poorly against Watford in a Premier League clash, and more recently, for opting out of the game against Swansea City due to low match fitness.

Luke’s treatment at the hands of Jose has not gone down too well with the Englishman’s family, with the defender’s brother, Ben Shaw, even calling Mourinho “a c*nt” on social networking website, Twitter.

And now, with Guilherme Arana’s arrival at United looking almost imminent, the Special One may finally send Shaw out the exit door the first chance he gets.
