Victor Lindelof’s Agent Gives Transfer Update
Benfica defender Victor Lindelof’s agent has confirmed that not only Manchester United, but some of Europe’s other elite clubs are also interested in signing his in January.
Having secured his place in the Benfica team, the 22-year-old Sweden international is now said to be a potential transfer target for Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
However, Lindelof’s agent, Hasan Cetinkaya, has remained coy about the latest rumours over the future of his client.

“I don’t want to comment on various clubs but there is concrete interest from some of the biggest in Europe,” Cetinkaya revealed in an interview with Swedish media outlet Fotbollskanalen.
“He really enjoys it at Benfica. At the same time, as I have said before, there is no smoke without fire when it comes to that. Many clubs are interested in him, but Victor is focused on Benfica.”
United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic also has heaped praise on his compatriot, and has even tipped him for a bright future.
Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho is desperately looking to boost his defensive set up, and is believed to have once again sent scouts to see the centre-back – who has so far won 11 caps for Sweden – last weekend.

However, some reports suggest Benfica will be reluctant to let go their star performer if they can secure a berth in the knockout stages of the Champions League this season.
Growing up as a traditional centre-back, and with a height of 6ft 2in, Lindelof also comes with the gifted mobility and technical ability to be used as a right-back whenever needed, as he has been several times on international duty.
He also possesses an exceptional ability to read the game, just like former United star Rio Ferdinand. Therefore, the Benfica man very rarely concedes fouls, and is at the receiving end of minimal bookings.
Jose Mourinho is reported to be especially impressed with the youngster’s brilliant speed along with defensive qualities, as he sees similarities between the Swede and Raphael Varane, with whom he worked at Real Madrid.
