Romelu Lukaku has revealed how happy Paul Pogba became upon the completion of his move to Manchester United.

Following their respective Euro 2016 campaigns in France, Lukaku and Pogba spent the rest of the summer together on a holiday in the United States, along with their agent, Mino Raiola. The pair even posted pictures and videos of their trip on social media, wherein they are seen playing basketball, and simply chilling in the pool.

It was during this vacation that Mino Raiola struck a deal with Manchester United, and Paul Pogba’s record-breaking return to his boyhood club was complete.

And now, Lukaku has revealed exactly how Pogba reacted upon officially completing the move by signing the contract.

Whilst speaking to Sport/Foot Magazine in Belgium, the Everton forward was asked if the French midfielder was an arrogant person, to which he replied: “He’s anything but that. A lot of things are said about him, but I was there at the hotel when he signed for United.

“There were maybe ten people surrounding him with briefcases and contracts inside. When everything was signed, and I’ve known Paul for many years, I’ve never seen him with that look on his face. I’d never seen him so happy. This return to United, it had nothing to do with money.

“It was a relief, a real happiness for him. We only spoke once about football during our holidays this summer, when we were at a pool in LA, and he was telling me about his dream to return to United. That’s when I understood what it meant.”
