Man United Fans Rip Apart Rooney After His Performance Against Crystal Palace
With a peculiar rustling beard and a weary frown, Wayne Rooney was enjoying his return to the Manchester United team for only his second Premier League start since September 18, when he was blasted for his pathetic performance in a 3-1 defeat by Watford.
However, United fans didn’t like his introduction on Wednesday as well, and once again, his lukewarm performance was welcomed by furious reactions.
He might have wanted a more central role, as a traditional frontman or at least playing in behind a striker. But nowadays, Rooney is not in a position to dictate these things. He can hardly get on the pitch in league matches, so when is given a chance, he will have to do as he has been instructed.

After all, Rooney now resides in Zlatan’s world. And in Zlatan’s world, you will find only one man leading the show.
Majority of the United fans, who enjoyed the late winner against Crystal Palace, also came up with some epic banter on Twitter to rip apart Rooney.
I hate Rooney. He spends more time moaning at the referee than actually playing football.

Sub Rooney, we score!
Coincidence? No.#MUFC— Wasim (@TaleOfWinter) December 14, 2016
On Wednesday night, Rooney was subbed off in the 80th minute to make way for the younger, fresher Marcus Rashford. It proved to be an exasperating, frustrating evening for Rooney.
These days, Rooney has really been struggling to keep up. Like on one occasion in the second half, Manchester United seemed to turn defence into attack, but as Ibrahimovic, Pogba and Juan Mata moved forward, Rooney was seen still midway inside his own half.
Soon after Palace equalised, it was Rooney who Mourinho decided to sacrifice. The Portuguese simply believes in Pogba and Ibrahimovic a little bit more.
